International Women’s Month (AKA Women’s History Month) Wrap Up!

As International Women’s Month comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the strength, leadership, and determination of women across Shanta’s partner villages, and within our own team. This month, we heard from Khai, our Global Program Manager, and Janet, our Zambia Program Manager, whose voices remind us that lasting change begins with women who are given the space, tools, and support to lead. Their experiences speak not only to the progress being made, but to the intention behind it: building systems where women are decision-makers in their homes, their communities, and their futures.

Across our partnerships, women are stepping into leadership roles, managing savings groups, advocating for education, and shaping the direction of their villages. This is not a one-month story; it’s a long-term commitment. As we close out March, we carry forward the momentum and the responsibility to continue investing in women, not just as participants, but as leaders of lasting change.
