The Founders Legacy Society honors the vision and dedication of Shanta’s co-founders, Mike and Tricia Karpfen, whose commitment to defeating poverty has empowered thousands of families on their path to self-sufficiency.

A legacy gift to Shanta Village Partners in your will or estate supports thriving, independent communities and may also provide tax benefits for your estate and heirs. Estate gifts are invested in Shanta’s endowment fund, managed by our Board, to provide sustainable funding for future programs. Unless otherwise designated by the donor, all gifts to the Founders Legacy Society will be used to cover administrative and fundraising costs with the ultimate goal of growing this fund to cover 100% of “overhead.” Once we achieve this goal, Shanta will be able to spend 100% of annual donations on program. Advertising this achievement will supercharge our fundraising efforts allowing us to partner with many more villages.
